How do you record a game?

I watch a lot of ‘let’s play’ type videos, and what people demonstrating how to do something at a certain point – what is the best way/software to record you playing a game?

  1. For PC games it’s easy, use some screen capturing software (such as http://www.fraps.com). You’ll need a decent amount of free space on your hard disk as the files can get pretty large before compressing them. As for consoles, it gets a little trickier. You’ll need a capture card for your PC, or a PVR that you can then copy the video over later. Hope that helps a little!
